As the CPD Programmes Lead for the College, it’s Abi’s job to research and plan a wide range of CPD events online and across our venues in Exeter and Poole.
Our CPDs cater for our students, graduates, fellow therapists and those in the wider community who have an interest in mental health. Abi trained as a Counsellor with the Iron Mill in Exeter, and has her own private practice in North Devon.
She also has specialist experience in providing bereavement support. As a Humanist Counsellor, Abi believes in the potential within each individual to find their own path, and the power of the counselling relationship to heal, and to enable each of us to thrive.
Before retraining, Abi had a long career in marketing & communications, with a particular interest in how organisations communicate with their own staff. Abi loves bringing a blend of her marketing skills and counselling experience to her Iron Mill CPD role. In her spare time, Abi enjoys playing netball and going for wild walks on Exmoor, where she has lived for nearly 20 years.
