Public Transport: Iron Mill College is just a 10 minute walk from Exeter Central Railway Station and a 5 minute walk from the main Exeter Bus Station.

Car parking: On weekends, the Barnfield Crescent car park is operated as a charity car park, costing £8 for all-day parking. It does fill up quickly, however, so we’d recommend arriving early if attending courses on the weekend. There are also a number of pay and display car parks in Exeter a short distance away from the college – the nearest being the Princesshay 3 Car Park and the Magdalen Road Car Park.

Cycling: Bike racks are available next to the Morwenstow courtyard, within the college. If you need access to the bike racks, a bell on the gate at the left of the front of Morwenstow can be used to contact the Administration Office. 

Buildings: Our Exeter venue offers a range of facilities for students in two adjacent buildings - 'Morwenstow' and 'The Quadrangle'. Morwenstow is a beautiful and historic building at the end of Barnfield Crescent and is where our college Administration Office is based. The Quadrangle is a fully renovated additional building at the rear of Morwenstow, offering fantastic extra spaces and facilities.

Across the two buildings there are three kitchens in total with complimentary tea and coffee-making facilities, fridges and microwaves in each. One of the Morwenstow kitchens also has an oven, hob and dishwasher. We also have a dedicated lunchroom, 'The Hub', located in The Quadrangle. Students also have use of our library with computer access and enjoy free WIFI throughout both buildings. Each building has a courtyard garden and there is an outdoor smoking area at Morwenstow only. There is also access to communal green space outside, with picnic tables and benches. We do not currently offer childcare facilities. 

Disabled access: Morwenstow's ground floor has ramp access via the side entrance – there is a doorbell on the gate at the left of the front of the building that can be used to gain the attention of the Administration Office if you require access. Unfortunately, the upper floors are only accessible via the staircase. We do have toilet facilities on the ground floor with handrails installed, but please note that access is not suitable for wheelchair users. The Quadrangle is an accessible, single storey building with ramp access at the main entrance and at one of the rear exits. We do endeavour to accommodate people who are disabled or have mobility or other issues, so please do get in touch with us. If you would like to discuss any access issues with us or arrange to come and view our facilities.

Room rentals: We are delighted to offer room rentals for wellbeing serivces and activities in our additional building in Exeter, The Quadrangle. For full information, please see our Room Rentals tab. 

Office hours are 9.00am – 5.30pm, Monday to Saturday. Some courses may run outside of these hours and the college is accessible to students of those courses only during those times (e.g. on Sundays).

We are closed during bank holidays and for a period over Christmas. During August, the college is also usually closed on Saturdays.

Located just behind 'Morwenstow' on Barnfield Crescent, Exeter, The Quadrangle is an accessible, freshly decorated and carpeted, and offers a variety of rooms of different sizes. As well as being an important part of our college, we would also like ‘The Quad’ to be a community centre offering services and experiences related to emotional health, personal development, lifestyle, creativity and wellbeing. 
 
We are therefore offering some of our rooms for hire by suitably qualified, compassionate and caring professionals for related lifestyle and wellbeing activities such as yoga, pilates, mindfulness, creative activities / groups, massage, acupuncture, aromatherapy, choir meetings, movement, drama, professional group meetings, study days, music workshops, group supervision etc. We also have small furnished rooms available for hire by the hour for counselling, psychotherapy and supervision. 
 
Please be aware that as a college used daily by students and the local community, this building at times will be peaceful and quiet, and at other times filled with music, chatter and laughter – we cannot guarantee a quiet space.
