Renata is a qualified counsellor with a background in management. She supports our students by responding to placement queries and managing the contractual and ethical side of their counselling placements.  

Renata completed her studies at the University of Worcester, successfully completing the FdA and BA courses in Integrative Counselling and is a registered member of the BACP.

She began her counselling work in 2018 with a sexual abuse charity working with adult clients. She opened her private practice in 2020 whilst continuing to work for the charity. 

As part of her private practice, she offers outdoor walk and talk therapy in addition to in-the-room counselling sessions. She is interested in somatic experiencing, mindfulness and creative interventions. Through these different methods she has developed a holistic approach to therapy based on client-centred principles. 

In the past, she had a brief experience as a counselling lecturer, teaching ethics and diversity. An experience she greatly enjoyed!

Renata is passionate about psycho-social studies and loves learning. In September 2022, she started her MA training in Psychosexual Therapy. She also enjoys art, creativity, being in nature and appreciating the beauty of Devon. 

Areas of responsibility: Renata joined our team in February 2023. She supports students in their counselling placements and liaises with placement providers. Part of her role is to assess and approve Placement and Work Based Learning Packs.
